Day 1 – Arrival in Sri Lanka
Arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo.
Upon arrival you will be welcomed by your guide and transferred to your hotel in Negombo, a coastal town located near the airport.
Negombo is known for its relaxed atmosphere, fishing traditions and long sandy beaches. After the flight travelers can enjoy a peaceful evening by the ocean and prepare for the journey ahead.
Depending on arrival time you may take a short walk along the beach or visit the lively local fish market.

Day 2 – Negombo to Anuradhapura
After breakfast the journey begins toward the ancient city of Anuradhapura, one of the most important historical destinations in Sri Lanka.
Anuradhapura served as the capital of Sri Lanka for more than one thousand years and today it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Visitors can explore impressive ruins including enormous Buddhist stupas, monasteries and ancient reservoirs built by early Sri Lankan civilizations.
One of the most sacred places in the city is the Sri Maha Bodhi Tree, believed to be the oldest historically documented tree in the world.

Day 3 – Anuradhapura to Sigiriya
After breakfast the tour continues to the Cultural Triangle region.
Travelers will visit Mihintale, a sacred mountain where Buddhism was first introduced to Sri Lanka more than two thousand years ago.
Later the journey continues to Sigiriya where visitors can relax in the peaceful countryside surroundings.

Day 4 – Sigiriya and Polonnaruwa
Early in the morning travelers climb the famous Sigiriya Rock Fortress, one of the most iconic landmarks in Sri Lanka.
This ancient fortress rises nearly 200 meters above the surrounding jungle and offers spectacular panoramic views.
Visitors can see the beautiful Sigiriya frescoes, the ancient Mirror Wall and the ruins of the royal palace at the summit.
In the afternoon the tour continues to the medieval city of Polonnaruwa, another UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 5 – Sigiriya to Kandy
After breakfast the journey continues toward the hill country.
Along the way travelers will visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, one of the most important Buddhist temples in Sri Lanka.
The temple complex consists of several caves decorated with colorful murals and more than one hundred Buddha statues.
The tour continues to Kandy, the cultural capital of Sri Lanka.
In the evening visitors can attend a traditional Kandyan cultural dance performance.

Day 6 – Kandy Exploration
Today travelers explore the historic city of Kandy.
The main highlight is the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, which houses one of the most sacred Buddhist relics.
Visitors can also explore the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya, home to thousands of plant species including orchids, palms and giant bamboo.
The rest of the day can be spent exploring local markets and enjoying the scenic views around Kandy Lake.

Day 7 – Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
The journey continues into the scenic hill country.

Day 8 – Train Journey to Ella

Day 13 – Departure
After breakfast travelers will be transferred back to Bandaranaike International Airport for their departure.
